The Recruitment of Residential Tutor Assistant of Muse College
Muse College is recruiting a group of residential tutor assistants for this academic year. Would you like to plan fun and exciting events on campus with us? Basic Function
Resident Tutor Assistants are full-time students who live in the residence halls and are responsible for serving the whole community. As an assistant to Wardens and Residential Tutors, they provide support, act as a resource for students, coordinate social and educational programs and events, and work together with College office as assistants to enforce University and college policy within the hostels.
Eligibility Requirements
»A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 is required at the time of application or after the first semester for current first year students. Grades will be checked at the end of the Fall Semester and again at the end of the Spring semester to make sure that the standard academic minimum requirements are met. Failure to meet the minimum GPA requirement will result in removal from the selection process.
»At least one completed semester at Muse College
»Be in good disciplinary standing with Muse College. Candidates must not currently be on any form of academic or conduct-related probation.
»Be enrolled as a full-time Muse College student for the academic year in which you are applying for in order to be a Resident Assistant.
»Desire to help and support fellow students
»Skills in Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution
»Interest in Planning Activities & Events
»Prior Leadership Experience and/or campus involvement are preferred
»Strong Communication Skills and comfort with Public Speaking
Qualifications
A successful candidate for a Residential Tutor Assistant position at Muse College will be open minded and enjoy working with diverse groups of people. *Each spring, current residential tutor assistants must reapply to the position for the following academic year. Decisions to continue are based on past performance, evaluation, renewal application and interview.
