Events Review | Unifun Workshop: Cocktail Learning

On the last day of November, Muse College invited Ms. Chen (Connie) to share the cocktails’ culture and ways to make cocktails.

Firstly, Connie introduced the history of the Cocktail. The true creation of a popular cocktail can be traced to the nineteenth century, and what we do know is that by 1900, the martini had become known nationwide and had spread to the other side of the Atlantic. This is said by some to be the beginning of the golden age of cocktails.

Then, Connie showed all the participants about six base liquor, which are Gin, Vodka, Rum, Whisky, Tequila and Brandy.

After having a basic understanding of Cocktails, it is time for us to learn how to make it. Connie taught the students three kinds of cocktails, which are Margarita, Pina colada and Singapore sling. All the participants had fun in making cocktails and shared the colorful drink with each other. Really a wonderful night!
